BC Group is a leading provider of measurement and test equipment for the worldwide biomedical technical services marketplace. We provide a "one-stop shop", offering sales of test equipment & tools, plus calibration and repair services for most types of test equipment. Our Calibration Laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited and specializes in supporting Biomedical and Clinical Engineering needs.

We currently have an opening for a Calibration Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Responsible for the administration and supervision of the calibration technicians.  

Coordinates interactions with other departments and management. 

Coordinates the flow of calibrations, repairs and outsourced service through the department.

Collaborates with Quality and Engineering to establish calibration methods and procedures.

Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with established processes and procedures, including training. 

Schedules work, assists service support, and supports technicians to ensure maximum efficiency of operations.

Communication with customers regarding repair quotes and assisting with technical support calls.

Support the calibration of and assist as needed by performing routine and complex work related to the calibration and repair of biomedical and general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M&TE), in the fields of electrical, DC-Low Frequency, pressure, temperature, flow, force, mass and other Metrology disciplines.

Provide technical support to the calibration laboratory as a subject matter expert in calibration methodology, techniques and measurement uncertainty.

Apply knowledge of electronics, mathematics, and measurement science in calibration standards, software, and systems to enhance laboratory efficiency and proficiencies.

Effectively use computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.

Enhance quality through regulatory compliance and operating procedures, audits, work accuracy, documentation and GDP.

Provide training, instruction, and guidance to other team members as necessary.

Schedules work, to maximize efficiency and ensure turnaround goals are met.

Ensure daily work is conducted in accordance with company policies concerning ethics, integrity, and standards of business conduct.

Promote safety of self, fellow employees, customers, and the environment.



  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Associate's Degree or technical school, plus 10+ years related hands-on experience in calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment.
  • Precision Measurement Equipment Lab (PMEL) or TMDE gained through the military is highly desirable.
  • Experience in calibration of the following:
  • General Purpose M&TE
  • Biomedical Test Equipment
  • Precision Temperature, Pressure, and Mass Flow devices.
  • Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Access, with an emphasis on Excel required.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a successful team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must meet the requirements to drive a company vehicle (have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record).
  • Capable of lifting (50 pounds) unassisted.


  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training.
  • CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) certification from ASQ.
  • Experience using Fluke MET/CAL Automated Calibration System.
  • Significant experience in Electrical, Temperature, Pressure and Flow calibrations.
  • Experience working with measurement uncertainty budgets.
